Washington DC - With over 1.4 million Instagram followers, Dr. Adam James is used to his hot takes on President Donald Trump going viral, and his latest opinion has people looking at the president's hands in a whole new light, warning viewers once again why he thinks a "big, beautiful obituary" could be coming.
With over 15 years of experience working with geriatric patients, James' opinions have medical merit. And one of his recent videos shines a light on a frequent talking point by foes of Trump: his hands.
"He looks like a goddamn corpse," James said in a video posted on Saturday, with a green-screen close-up image of Trump's hand appearing behind him.
The physical therapist, who says he has a doctorate in his field, goes on to say that "clearly" Trump does not want anyone seeing his hands before claiming that he's been having IV treatments – something neither the White House nor Trump has confirmed publicly.
Of note, the White House in 2025 claimed that Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a common vein condition that can cause lower-leg and ankle swelling. Former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also claimed in 2025 that the reason Trump's hands look the way they do is because of "frequent handshaking."
"There is some illness, or combination of illnesses, that cannot be treated any other way," James explains, referring to his belief that Trump is getting IV treatments.
He proceeds to explain why hand bruising starts appearing on elderly people "when the end is near."
"The heart is slowing down, and the blood pools irregularly in the extremities – the hands and feet specifically," James says. "This is an indicator of approaching mortality."
For this reason, among others, James believes a "big, beautiful obituary" is coming "any day now."
