Washington DC - White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt recently opened up about what it's been like working for President Donald Trump as she exits the administration.

On Thursday – her last official day in the role – Leavitt did several interviews in which she mostly focused on showering the president with praise rather than discussing herself.

In an interview with NewsNation, she detailed how she learned how to deal with the media from Trump, saying she and others joke that "he's the real communications director here."

She insisted that he is "the best boss I've ever had," describing him as "fun," having a great sense of humor, and having "a huge heart."

In an interview with Fox News, Leavitt continued to share her adoration for the president, stating "there will never be another like him, for sure."

The network also played a compilation clip of what it described as "fiery" moments from Leavitt, which included her parroting the president's MAGA rhetoric, aggressively mocking journalists for pressing her with "stupid" questions, criticizing former President Joe Biden and US allies, and describing Canada as "our soon-to-be 51st state."

When asked for her reaction to these moments, Leavitt laughed and said, "Good times!"

During her interviews, Leavitt reiterated that she had decided earlier this month to step down from the role so that she could spend more time with her two small children, who she said "deserve and need their mother's constant attention and presence."

There has been heavy speculation that there may be more to her exit, however.

Leavitt's original announcement came days after reporting revealed that when Trump was preparing to take a recent flight on Air Force One, he was hidden in a catering container and moved to another plane amid threats of an attack led by Iran.

The president reportedly only took a few people with him, most notably his aide Natalie Harp, while leaving a number of his administration officials on AFO – including Leavitt.

Leavitt – who will continue working as an advisor in a smaller role – said she did not know who the president is considering to replace her, but noted that whoever it is must be "someone he wholeheartedly trusts and believes in."
