Washington DC - President Donald Trump and his administration have unveiled a new ad campaign paid for using taxpayer dollars ahead of the November midterm elections.

According to CBS News, the 30-second commercial debuted on Fox News on Wednesday night, and has continued airing into Thursday.

It features videos and images of the president at various events as his voice is heard telling viewers, "We will defeat communism, socialism, and Marxism in America."

Throughout the clip, the song Love Me by JMSN is played, with the refrain from the chorus repeated.

Text shown at the end of the clip reveals the ad was "Paid for by the US Government."

The ad comes as Republicans are fighting to hang on to their razor-thin majority in the House and Senate.

If the party loses that majority, Democrats will make it difficult for Trump to pass his agenda in the second half of his term, and many have vowed to file articles of impeachment against him.

Despite the fact that his favorability polling is at record lows, the Republican Party has run as though "Trump is on the ballot," hoping his popularity with MAGA will help boost support for candidates across the country.

In an X post, artist JMSN revealed Trump's team did not ask permission to use his music, and he is speaking with lawyers to handle the matter internally.

Trump has faced countless accusations of using artists' work without permission. While he has been able to evade accountability on social media, this instance could be different, as the ad was featured on national airwaves.
