Miami, Florida – When he and his dogs post a new video on Instagram, it isn't long before hearts melt in droves! On Wednesday, Michael Brown reached out to his followers with a particularly touching gesture.
The video starts rather unusually. The owner cuts off a small tuft of hair from himself and his two furry companions. For the youngest of the group, puppy Cowboy, it's almost a bit too much!
"Hopefully this was worth giving Cowboy a little bald spot," Brown comments self‑critically alongside the video.
It also shows him creating a kind of collage from the hair, a drawing of his dogs, and himself.
While Cactus and Cowboy are nicely represented in the picture, Brown settles for a simple stick figure for his own likeness.
To be safe, he labels everyone in the image.
Then, he sticks the three hair tufts onto the corresponding figures in the picture. After that, he carefully secures everything with cardboard and finally frames it.
Cactus, Cowboy, and Brown all finally admire the finished work together.
Viral video shows dog owner's touching craft project
The two dogs watch the viral hit with genuine interest as the finished result appears – though they probably don't quite understand it.
Later, their owner places it on a dresser in the hallway so it's always on display.
At the start of the video, Brown explains in a subtitle that he wants to create something with this picture that will remind him of his dogs for the rest of his life.
It's become a hit on Instagram, of course.
Since Wednesday, the video has already racked up four million views and more than 280,000 likes. The comment section is also full of heart emojis.
Sometimes, it's the simple things in life that draw the most attention!
