Irvine, California – Dog rescuer Suzette Hall cannot stand seeing animals "dumped" or "thrown away." Her last rescue had her weeping because the pooch refused to stop looking for his humans even though they'd abandoned him.
"No matter how badly you treat them, they still love you. No matter how completely you betray them, they still believe you're coming back," the animal lover wrote on Facebook.
According to Hall, her latest rescue had been abandoned by his owners. The pooch simply couldn't fathom they'd left him behind.
"This sweet baby boy had been going back and forth between two houses right next door to each other, searching… waiting… hoping," Hall wrote.
"Today, he sat on the doorstep. Then by the fence. Just watching. Looking for them to come back. But they never did."
This dog's owners didn't return, but Hall and her friends did.
Rescuers returned for this poor pup
"Oh baby boy… they didn’t come back for you. But WE did," Californian wrote proudly.
Hall's teammate Rosario began the rescue effort. Once Hall joined her, it went swiftly, as the poor dog was starving.
The two were able to easily lure him into their trap with hot dogs.
"And my goodness, those hot dogs must have tasted like the best thing in the whole world. For just a few moments, they distracted him from waiting for the people who had thrown him away."
Hall said she told the doggo, "We're going to figure it all out, baby. I promise.”
She continued: "You didn't deserve what they did to you, angel. But I promise you… your life gets to start over now."
Hopefully, Hall is right and the trying times are behind this little loyal brown dog. What's certain is that he's is safe for now.
