According to the report, two dog owners and their furry friends found themselves in a life‑threatening situation near the city of San Bernardino: "Two adult females and their four dogs became stranded when the river level rose, turning their encampment into an island."
Minute by minute, the river kept rising, and the group was stuck. An escape through the swift current seemed impossible.
When the fire department arrived on the scene, a trained white‑water rescue team deployed an inflatable boat to reach them.
Excited furry friends are rescued in stunning fashion
"The victims were placed into lifejackets," the post continued, allowing the rescue teams to safely bring the women back to shore.
For the rescue of the four furry friends, the helpers chose a slightly different approach: "The small dogs were a bit too excited for the adventure, so they were secured in a mesh bag for their trip to the shore."
According to the rescue personnel, involved were safely returned and no injuries were reported for the women or the doggos.
