NYCC 2026: Marvel spills the secrets of VisionQuest, X-Men '97, Daredevil, Zodiac, and more TV projects on Day 1!
New York, New York - TAG24 NEWS was live at Day 1 of 2026 New York Comic Con, where Marvel kicked things off with some big news on what's next from the cinematic universe!
On Thursday, Brandon Davis and Marvel TV and animation chief Brad Winderbaum hosted the buzzy panel that dropped some juicy surprises about the superhero franchise's small-screen plans.
As the world awaits Avengers: Doomsday, Davis and Winderbaum gave us an exclusive look at VisionQuest – the final live-action series to debut before Dr. Doom faces off against Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
Cast members Paul Bettany, James Spader, Ruaridh Mollica, and Emily Hampshire joined showrunner Terry Matalas on stage to spill on the TV show and unveil the entirety of episode one!
Bettany, who reprises his role as Vision, confirmed that the miniseries will conclude the WandaVision trilogy – which also included Agatha All Along – and touched on reuniting with Spader, who returns as the villainous Ultron.
"I've been hanging out with Terry, trying to figure out how we can tell a superhero story about fathers and sons but one with a robot and a human son," the English actor shared.
"Terry suggested we get the band back together and call Spader up, and that's when I knew we had a show."
The Defenders reunite for Daredevil, plus Marvel teases top-secret Zodiac series
But that's not all that was revealed!
TAG24 also got an exclusive glimpse at the X-Men '97 season three, where the mutants are once again facing off against the Sentinels, weddings, and the return of the Brotherhood.
Following this, Charlie Cox, Kristen Ritter, and Finn Jones appeared on stage to tease Daredevil: Born Again season three, which will feature the return of the Defenders!
Though Mike Colter, who plays Luke Cage, wasn't able to join his co-stars, the rest of the cast shared hopes that the upcoming season won't be the last time we see the Devil of Hell's Kitchen.
While Disney+ has officially referred to season three as the show's last, Cox quipped that they may not want to face the "wrath" of the "Save Daredevil" campaign, which helped revive the original Netflix series that was also canceled with season three.
"All I'll say is, I imagine the 'Save Daredevil' campaign will be gearing up for round two," Cox joked.
Lastly, Marvel fans have a few more projects to look forward to, including a "secret" spy-thriller series called Zodiac, which drops in 2028 on Disney+ and plans to begin the casting process very soon.
Additionally, Marvel Zombies will return for the next three years, debuting on or around Halloween.
The 2027 set will focus on The Winter Soldier, while the 2028 season is titled The Fist of Khonshu. Finally, Halloween 2029 will follow The Last Guardian, though the Marvel team remained tight-lipped on which galaxy defender this might be!
