Singer Ellie Goulding sparks speculation with stunning new hand tattoo

Venice, Italy - UK singer and activist Ellie Goulding used her appearance at the 83rd Venice Film Festival on Tuesday to show off a new bright-red hand tattoo.

The 39-year-old singer appeared at the festival with a stunning red tattoo that stretches across her hand and about halfway up her arm.

It is but another fine line tattoo for the star, who has a number of them sketched across her body. She was previously spotted with a small part of the inking on her hand earlier this year, but seems to have finished the tattoo off more recently.

Goulding's other tattoos include a Tibetan mantra which translates roughly to "jewel in the lotus" on her left wrist, as well as a diamond-shaped inking on her rib cage.

The snap in which her brand-new inking was captured seemed to be taken as she was on her way to the festival, as it showed her wearing a plain white shirt, a baseball cap, and a pair of sweatpants.

In March this year, Goulding revealed that she was in baby bliss with her partner Beau Minniear, posting on Instagram: "On Friday, I gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby girl. We are totally obsessed with her."

"It was fitting that I spent International Women's Day with her and the incredible female team at St. Mary's, who provided me and my baby with extraordinary care and kindness," she wrote.

"I will always be in awe of midwives. This addition to my family fills me with so much joy, especially as Arthur is so happy to become a big brother to this little angel!"

Her latest tattoo reveal comes only shortly before the release of her new album, I Know Too Much, which is her first record in three years and due out on September 4.
