Krakow, Poland - This tattoo-addicted couple got their tongues split in half down the middle as part of a bizarre extreme body modification-themed bonding activity.

Complete with a vast quantity of tattoos, numerous piercings, and other forms of body modification, these two "cyborgs" have taken their obsession to the next level with a truly shocking change.

In a recent post, the couple announced that they had could their tongue's split in half down the middle, both made to look like that of a snake.

"Tongue splits done by Samppa Von Cyborg and me around 2.5 months ago on the same day on super nice couple from UK," Rusty Cyborg Body Art announced on social media.

While the couple hasn't been identified, a brief look through Rusty Cyborg's Instagram reveals that the bizarre procedure is nowhere near as rare as one might think.

Indeed, the profile is full of examples of extreme tongue splits, and even clips of people's tongues shortly after the procedure is complete – bloody, red, and stitched up along the inner seam.

Similar procedures are becoming more common among extreme body mod addicts. One Brazilian tattoo fan not only split his tongue into two halves, but inked it a dark black color.
