The 51-year-old actor appeared at the event with a walking stick and was accompanied by her 11-year-old daughter Sadie.

According to the Daily Mail, she did not walk the red carpet, but instead posed for photographers backstage at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.

She wore a chic black suit with a silver, crescent moon-shaped necklace.

Applegate was a child actor who rose to fame in the 1980s for playing Kelly Bundy in the sitcom Married... with Children.

Decades later, the actor still shows her talent and versatility in a wide range of roles.

At this year's Critics' Choice Awards, she was nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Dead to Me.

Jean Smart (71) ended up winning the award for her role in Hacks. She was unable to attend the ceremony in person after being diagnosed with Covid.

Although she didn't take home the prize, the fact that Applegate received so much support at her first major awards show in more than a year is perhaps an even greater success.
