There's no better way to start off 2022 than with new music, and Gucci Mane understood the assignment.

On Tuesday, the rapper and record executive of 1017 Records dropped a music video for his latest one-off track. Featuring none other than Lil Durk himself, it was titled Rumors.

Lil Durk and Gucci Mane team up in new music video

In the video, Gucci Mane and Lil Durk are seen amongst an entourage of friends outside Ace's Package Store, a liquor shop in the 41-year-old's hometown of Atlanta.

The song starts off with a familiar sound for fans, the return of producer Tay Keith, who uses his star-studded experience to seamlessly transition into a hard-hitting bass line that Durk spits some truth all over.

He raps "I know b****** set you up, literally, [they're] dying to hit. This industry ain't what it seems, this s*** be counterfeit."

Of course, it wouldn't be an "Ice Daddy" video without an excess of large diamond chains, rings, and bracelets, while they enjoy a plethora of smoke, fat stacks of cash, and fast cars like the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.

Gucci lays some truths in Lil Durk collab Rumors

Gucci comes in on the second verse with some strong claims and words of advice to anyone who's listening, rhyming, "Still ain't got revenge yet, but keep making up excuses. Cuz done drank so much lean that his gut got big as Gucci's. Quit while he ahead and don't go out like Whitney Houston."

The unexpected collab comes three weeks after Gucci Mane surprised fans by dropping a music video for another one-off track, Fake Friends, featuring his one-year-old son, Ice.

In October 2021, the 1017 Records executive dropped his 15th studio album, So Icy Boyz, which featured several artists signed to his label.

Could Gucci Mane's new track mean there's more music on the way from the Atlanta native?
