Regardless of Warner Bros. decision to shelf the superhero flick, the In The Heights star is still "proud" of the work she did.

On Wednesday evening, Grace, who played Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl, reacted to the upsetting news in a candid Instagram post that featured BTS shots of the now-canceled movie.

"Querida familia! On the heels of the recent news about our movie 'Batgirl,' I am proud of the love, hard work, and intention all of our incredible cast and tireless crew put into this film over [seven] months in Scotland," she penned in the caption.

"I feel blessed to have worked among absolute greats and forged relationships for a lifetime in the process!"

The 27-year-old actor also thanked fans for "the love and belief, allowing me to take on the cape and become, as Babs said best, 'my own damn hero!'" She ended the caption with, "#Batgirl for life!"

Grace's endearing post comes amid intense backlash over WB Studios scraping the upcoming film.

Fans have been up in arms as the DC film featured an anticipated-ensemble cast that included Brendan Fraser's role as the villain Firefly, and Michael Keaton's reprisal of his iconic role as Bruce Wayne/ Batman.

Though a spokesperson for Warner Bros. told The Wrap that the decision to not release the film was "not a reflection" of Grace's performance – fans have still demanded justice over the matter.
