On Sunday, the 35-year-old musician praised the Truth Hurts singer as "kind" and "cool" amid explosive allegations in a suit from three of her former backup dancers.

"I love Lizzo," Grimes began in the Twitter post. "Not saying I don't believe ppl when bad things happen, but I had dancers mistreated on my watch in ways I didn't find out about until way later."

The Oblivion artist continued that "loyalty matters" to her, adding, "Lizzo was kind to me and others for a decade before she was 'cool,' and she checked in in me when no one cared."

Grimes further called Lizzo "such an admirable person to find fame in the music industry."

"I struggle to believe she would have so radically changed tired of a culture that seeks to destroy its greatest virtues. Lizzo is amazing."

In the filing made last Tuesday, three of Lizzo's ex-dancers accused her of sexual, religious, and racial harassment, among other things.

A filmmaker who worked with Lizzo also added her voice to the criticism.

Lizzo has denied the allegations made in the suit via Instagram, writing, "Usually I choose not to respond to false allegations but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous to not be addressed."
