A terrifying new series is coming and the Black Panther star is apparently leading it.

On Tuesday, Deadline broke the news that Nyong'o has been cast in Paramount's A Quiet Place: Day One.

While details about the plot for the upcoming project are still being kept on the hush, the outlet did share that the series is based on an idea by actor and director John Krasinski.

The Jack Ryan star, who directed and starred in the first films, is apparently hoping to expand the Quiet Place universe as a third film has already been confirmed and is set to be released in 2025.

This could mean that series will take place in between the events of the second and third film, but, given the title of the show, it's more likely to serve as a prequel for the popular horror series.

Nyong'o, of course, is no stranger to the genre as many may recall her heart-stopping performance in Jordan Peele's Us.

In the meantime, fans can prepare to see Nyong'o reprise her role as the warrior-spy Nakia in the upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
