Former *NSYNC member Lance Bass (42) and his husband, artist Michael Turchin (34), announced they are expecting twins with what fans called "the best announcement ever" on Monday.

The two shared a frighteningly funny and professionally produced parody of a horror film trailer on TikTok to announce their big baby news.

The video, called Two Buns In The Oven, teased "This Halloween! They're coming!" The couple runs through a darkened house hearing haunting baby noises in what seems like the precursor to an actual movie – only to reveal at the clip's end that they have bundles of joy on the way.

"All other birth announcements are cancelled," one TikToker commented. "This will never be beaten by another announcement," said another.

"This announcement deserves to win an Oscar," another fan agreed.

The boy-girl twins are due in November via a surrogate, "but I need them to get here before Halloween, because I need them to be Halloween babies. They have no choice but to love Halloween because I'm obsessed," Bass explained of his love of all things spooky and the on-theme TikTok drop.

The couple said they have been trying to expand their family for the last few years.

"It's been quite the journey," Bass told People magazine.

The couple suffered a previous miscarriage of twins

Bass and Turchin revealed they navigated a rocky road with nine different egg donors and numerous failed surrogacy tries to become pregnant through IVF treatments.

"When we did the egg retrieval, he fertilized half, I fertilized half," Turchin explained of how their children will be biologically related.

The couple also suffered a miscarriage when their previous surrogate miscarried twins, which was especially devastating during the pandemic.

"Because of what we've been through the last four years, we were very cautious to get excited," Bass said of the new healthy pregnancy. "You think you're going to jinx it or something," he added.

They also timed their announcement to coincide with the first day of pride month.

"There are not many great examples of gay couples having families in the public eye. We knew that we wanted to be very open and transparent with our experience because we wanted gay couples to be able to relate to us," said the former boyband member.

The pair plan to raise their new family in Los Angeles for half the year and spend the other half in Miami, where Turchin's family is from, so their kids can be near their grandparents.

The two received an outpouring of congratulations on their epic announcement from pop music royalty Jordin Sparks, Debbie Gibson, Christina Milian, and the Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter – who also just welcomed a new child into the boyband baby club.
