Walking Dead star Moses J. Moseley has died

Stockbridge, Georgia - The Walking Dead star Moses J. Moseley has tragically passed away at the age of 31.

Moseley, best known for portraying one of Michonne's jawless pet zombies, has died from a gunshot wound.

According to TMZ, the young star's body was discovered on Wednesday in the Hudson Bridge area of Stockbridge, Georgia.

The outlet has now confirmed that his death is being investigated as a possible suicide.

Prior to his death, his family had reported Moseley missing. They later found his body with the help of his car's OnStar location system.

Moseley's family released a heartfelt statement to People on Monday, describing the 31-year-old as a "a bright light in everyone's eyes" who was "loved by everyone who met him."

"Moses was an amazing person and if you had the opportunity to meet him he would have made your day amazing. He was very talented, he was a great friend, the kind you could call for anything. He was always excited about life and working in the entertainment business," they said.

The Walking Dead's official Twitter account shared a tribute to the star, writing, "Our thoughts and prayers are with our #TWDFamily member Moses J. Moseley."

In addition to his time on the popular AMC series, the actor also appeared in the series Queen of the South, American Soul, and HBO Max's The Watchmen.

Moseley also appeared on the cover of Entertainment Weekly in 2012 with his The Walking Dead costar, Danai Gurira.
