The Fresh Prince has battled everything in his movies, from ravenous zombies in I am Legend, to murderous machines in I, Robot. But in real life, his latest nemesis is an eight-legged nightmare.

On Saturday night, Smith shared an Instagram clip of him and his son Trey Smith (29) trying to capture a tarantula with a glass bowl.

"What in the hell," Smith says while filming the showdown. "That is a big a** spider."

The duo eventually manage to capture the creepy crawly, and Smith shows it off to the camera. The star also sports a shaved head, a much different look from the last time he was seen publicly, in his recent apology video.

The comment section was full of love from fans that have been adamant about his return to the public eye.

The post marked Smith's return to a social media after he infamously slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars back in March.

The incident got him banned from attending Academy events for the next 10 years, and ended up doing significant damage to his reputation.

In a post put out a day before the bout with the spider, the 53--year-old tested the waters by sharing a clip of a baby gorilla poking an adult gorilla, with the caption "Me trying to get back on social."

Chris Rock, on the other hand, has started speaking publicly about the incident, recently joking, "Yeah, that s**t hurt, motherf***er! But I shook that s**t off and went to work the next day… I don’t go to the hospital for a paper cut."

Smith has repeatedly apologized for his "unacceptable" behavior at the Academy Awards, during which he actually won the honor for best actor.
