Ashley Leechin, better known as @noitisashley13 on TikTok, made a major announcement on February 1 as she told fans that she would be attending the Grammys through a partnership with the ceremony.

Just two days later, the TikTok creator stitched her original announcement and revealed that she had flown all the way to LA only to be told that she did not have an actual ticket to the show upon arrival.

The videos created quite a buzz in the world of SwiftTok as viewers attempted to unravel the truth behind the drama.

Leechin then explained that she had paid for her own travel, lodging, and dress for the ceremony, leading many to leave comments telling her she should have known it was a scam all along.

Others branded her a "compulsive liar" and criticized her use of the platform to gain clout for impersonating Swift.

To defend her name, Leechin pulled out the receipts as she worked to disprove her critics.

She shared screenshots of her exchanges with Sweety High, the brand that had allegedly contacted her about attending the ceremony.

According to Leechin, the brand looked to partner with her to promote the Grammys.

In one of the content creator's final explanation videos, Leechin says she was offered money to keep quiet about her experience, which she refused.

Despite her transparency about the blunder, the scandal has led many viewers to bluntly voice their criticisms of the creator.

One clip from Leechin's video explanation that's gone viral includes her saying, "I have brown eyes, you cannot mistake me for Taylor Swift," which many have stitched with her many clear attempts to recreate Swift's likeness.

While commentary around Leechin's decision to center her platform around her Swift cosplays is one thing, it's clear that she was the real victim in the situation.

Though Leechin didn't get to see her dreams realized at the Grammys, the real Ms. Swift was able to celebrate her Best Music Video win in glamorous fashion.
