Man with Florida face tattoo calls 911 to get a ride home

New Port Richey, Florida - Two things are clear about Matthew Leatham: he was desperate to get home on Sunday, and he's a big fan of the Sunshine State.

Matthew Leatham's affinity for the Florida is clear from the tattoo he bears between his eyebrows.

Sunday at 4 AM, Leatham wanted to get home as quickly as possible.

So the 22-year-old decided to try and use the police as a taxi and called 911, according to the New York Post.

A deputy from Pasco County found Leatham in New Port Richey and offered to call him a cab. But the Florida fan allegedly refused the offer because he didn't have any money on him.

But as he turned to walk home, he dialed the emergency number again! According to the complaint, the law enforcement officer caught up with the brazen caller while he was still on the line with the 911 operator.

The officer searched Leatham and found marijuana on him. The young man did end up getting a ride from the cops eventually, but the destination was the local jail.

Matthew Leatham was charged with misusing 911 and possession of marijuana and later released on a $300 bond.
