Harris County, Texas - Tristan Thompson's paternity drama is heating up after he reportedly filed an emergency petition to ban Maralee Nichols from speaking about the case.
On Tuesday, TMZ revealed that the Sacramento Kings player requested that Maralee be gagged from further speaking about the paternity case she brought against him.
For those who haven't been keeping up with this newest scandal, the Houston-based personal trainer claims Tristan Thompson is the father of her unborn child and is suing him for child support.
Maralee also accused Tristan of having a "months-long" affair with her that continued well after she got pregnant.
Since the news broke, the 30-year-old has denied Maralee's allegations and is now seeking to keep her from leaking info about the case.
Per TMZ, Tristan claims Maralee has been doing interviews and spreading "blatant lies" about himself and his family.
The athlete further maintained that the Texas native is doing all of this to "to achieve some sort of notoriety and gain for herself in this lawsuit."
Tristan's attempts to silence his supposed former mistress come after messages the basketball player allegedly her were also leaked.
Tristan's past coming back to bite him again?
A screenshot of a text message exchange between Maralee and Tristan was released by the Daily Mail.
In it, the Canadian athlete vehemently denied the child and also mentioned his plans to retire from the NBA.
"You know how I feel. My feelings haven't changed at all. Won't be involved at all. Btw if you think having this baby is gonna make you some money. It's completely wrong," the message began.
The texts continued, "You are aware that I'm retiring after this season. So in terms of support it will be whatever is required monthly for someone who's unemployed. It's Texas so it will be only a couple hundred dollars. So you better off taking this 75k I'm offering cause you won't get nothing near that with having a kid with a father who's unemployed."
Tristan has also denied the existence of these messages.
