The unexpected reveal came during a packed show at London's O2 Arena, which saw Grande illuminated in center-stage with her signature outfit and glittery glamour in full display for tens of thousands to see see.

At the time, nobody really noticed, but once she had posted a temporary Instagram story showing a snippet of her performance, sleuths quickly realized something – she had a new tattoo on her left collarbone!

Her inking was seen in small, hard-to-distinguish writing that was hard to spot in the grainy footage, but it was clear enough to be readable: "I Do Love You."

It wasn't long before fans put two-and-two together.

While not publicly confirmed, it has seemed clear for a while now that Grande has rekindled things with Ricky Álvarez, despite only splitting from Ethan Slater in June.

In a photo posted to his Instagram account last year, a much larger inking – featuring the exact same text – was revealed on his left collarbone too!

Grande and Álvarez initially dated in 2015, splitting up in mid-2016. The inking seems to be a reference to her hit song Thank U, Next. Many are wondering whether the pair of inkings could be tributes to one another.

Grande isn't a stranger to tattoos, having covered both her hands with a collection of tiny, sketched inkings, that hold particular and carefully thought-through meanings to her.

This latest addition comes amid controversy around a recent music video that sparked weight loss concerns.
