Los Angeles, California - Lizzo celebrated a major legal victory as a federal judge dismissed the claims of harassment and bullying made against her and her production company.
In a video shared to Instagram on Tuesday, the 38-year-old announced that she had "won the case" over the lawsuit filed against her and Big Grrrl Touring in 2023.
Lizzo slammed the claims made against her as "ridiculous" and said they were made by an employee who worked on her tour "for less than three weeks."
"It was all so shocking because I was being sued by someone who admittedly never met me," she wrote in the video's on-screen text. "I prayed for the truth to come out, and thanks to my incredible lawyers, the truth has prevailed."
A judge previously dismissed harassment claims against Lizzo as an individual in 2024, but the case against her touring company remained.
The Grammy winner's lawyer hailed the latest ruling a "total victory" for Lizzo and her team, claiming there was "never any basis" for wardrobe employee Asha Daniels to file the lawsuit in the first place, per TMZ.
Amid the controversy the lawsuit caused, Lizzo largely stepped out of the spotlight. She later admitted that she fell into a depression but refused to stop fighting the claims.
"I could have settled, but I'm a woman who is not afraid of the truth coming out, so I'm continuing to fight," Lizzo said earlier this year.
