London, UK – Will this year's Christmas celebrations be a breaking point for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? After moving back to the UK, the Sussexes are reportedly arguing over where to spend the holidays.
Even though the holidays aren't right around the corner just yet, the royal couple already seems to be deep in planning their first Christmas since returning to the UK.
According to the British magazine Closer, Harry and Meghan's ideas appear to be far apart.
While the prince apparently wants to spend the festive season in his home country, his wife is said to be planning to return to California – to her friends and her mom, Doria Ragland.
A Christmas with the royal family, therefore, seems to be the last thing on Meghan's wish list right now.
"Meghan can't think of anything worse than hanging around hoping the royals might squeeze them in somewhere over Christmas," an insider revealed.
The mom of two knows that a reunion at Sandringham with Harry's estranged family will bring plenty of drama, and she simply doesn't want to "ruin" her Christmas.
Is Meghan Markle feeling homesick after her move back to the UK?
Since moving to England, Meghan has also been plagued by intense homesickness, according to the tipsters.
"She misses her friends, she misses her day-to-day routine, and she really misses her mom. She talks to Doria every day, usually multiple times, but it's not the same as spending every weekend with her," the source explained.
For her husband, however, spending the holidays outside the UK is out of the question – primarily to avoid sending the wrong message to the royals.
A trip to California could make it seem as though Harry is already ready to abandon his new life in England and deliberately forgo time with his father, King Charles III.
On the prince's wish list are both a visit to the Spencers, his late mother Diana's family, and a meeting with Charles and Camilla. He also secretly hopes for an invitation to the official royal celebrations with his brother, Prince William.
