Fort Myers, Florida - Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently gave President Donald Trump a bizarre gift as a show of his ride-or-die loyalty to the MAGA movement.

On Friday, DeSantis met Trump as he arrived at Southwest Florida International Airport ahead of his scheduled appearance at a midterm campaign rally.

The governor, grinning from ear to ear, gifted the president a gold coin that had an image engraved on it of Trump giving the middle finger, along with the words, "You missed b*****s" on it.

The image and slogan have been seen on memorabilia sold at Trump rallies, which references several assassination attempts against the president, particularly a shooting at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, during the 2024 presidential race in which a gunman grazed the politician's ear.

The two politicians memorably ran against each other in the 2024 Republican primaries, during which Trump went out of his way to brutally insult and criticize DeSantis, at one point coining the nickname "Meatball Ron."

Since Trump won the election, DeSantis has desperately tried to gain his favor, going so far as to reportedly beg the president for an appointment to his administration.

When DeSantis, who is nearing his term limit as governor, was recently asked about a possible presidential run in 2028, he dodged the question, responding, "You never know."
