Las Vegas, Nevada - Vice President JD Vance recently attended an event in which he pitched his support of the Jewish community to pro-Israel Republicans.

Per Politico, Vance made a closed-door appearance at the Republican Jewish Coalition leadership summit on Monday, where he spoke on several issues affecting the community – most notably Israel's plummeting favorability among young Americans.

"There is a growing suspicion among, I would call it, under-40s of the US-Israel relationship," Vance explained.

"I think my view is, what we have to do is articulate why this is in the best interest of the United States of America, and actually get out there and talk about the ways in which it is in the best interest of the United States of America."

He went on to recommend that Republicans "talk about the concrete alignment of interest" and discussed how they should abandon past rhetoric on Israel, "because young people are looking at this in a different way."

At one point, Vance was asked about his relationship with podcasters such as Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Nick Fuentes, and Joe Rogan, all of whom have ties to the Trump administration and have allegedly "platformed antisemites."

Vance awkwardly avoided directly answering the question, but went out of his way to defend Rogan, who he admitted he really likes.

"I think it's a mistake to sort of say we're going to write Joe Rogan off because he said something that we don't like," he said. "I think the best approach is to actually go in there and talk to him and make the argument as best as you can."

Vance's appearance comes as polls have found that the majority of Americans hold unfavorable views on Israel, the war in Gaza, and the war in Iran that President Donald Trump launched alongside Israel back in February.

It also came as Vance has been considering a run for president in 2028. Though he has not officially announced his candidacy, garnering support from the Jewish community could help ensure his success.

His talking points appeared to make waves with attendees on Monday, as Indiana Senator Jim Banks told Politico that he believes Vance "hit a home run" with the crowd, noting he received "several standing ovations."
