Washington DC - Several men have recently come forward with allegations that they were paid to have sex with the late South Carolina Senator Lindsay Graham, with one claiming to have been underage at the time.
On Thursday, the Young Turks network released a 30-minute video titled The CLOSETocracy, which features interviews with three men who each claim to have had a sexual encounter with Graham before his untimely passing in July.
One man named Kelvin claimed the senator paid him for sex and filmed the encounter when he was just 17 years old.
The other two men similarly claimed they were paid to have sex with Graham, with the last man, Corey, claiming the interaction took place at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC.
Corey went on to say that he didn't know who Graham was, but later recognized him on TV during the 2016 presidential race.
For years, Graham – who has never married – faced rumors about being secretly gay, which he always denied.
According to The New York Times, Cory is also an adult film star who performs under the name Sean Harding, and in a 2022 social media post, he suggested men with similar experiences should speak out.
"There is a homophobic republican senator who is no better than Trump who keeps passing legislation that is damaging to the LGBT and minority communities. Every sex worker I know has been hired by this man," he wrote.
"Wondering if enough of us spoke out if that could get him out of office?" Harding added.
Lindsey Graham allegations spark heavy debate online
While the truth of the claims has not been confirmed, the video has gone viral and sparked a heavy debate on social media, including among politicians.
Critics on the right have argued the video was a hit piece created by Democrats in a low-blow effort to ruin the campaign of Darlene Graham, the late senator's sister currently running to take over his seat in the November midterms.
Touting a strong endorsement from President Donald Trump, recent polls collected by MS Now show Darlene leading the race by only 2 points.
Other Republicans have dismissed the story altogether, as they believe the news is "not a surprise."
However, some have argued the allegations are indicative of criminal acts being carried out and hidden by elected officials.
Among these voices was former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, who left her role after clashing with President Trump for not releasing the files on Jeffrey Epstein as promised.
She shared a lengthy X post commending the men as "brave" for sharing their experiences and claimed she saw plenty of "secrets" herself during her time in DC.
"Their secrets are levers of control. Keeps them in line. Makes them a team player. And will make them fight the hardest on issues that don't make sense in order to keep their secrets just that. Secrets," MTG wrote.
