Augusta, Maine - Children's influencer and YouTuber Rachel Griffin Accurso, known more commonly as Ms. Rachel, endorsed Maine's Democratic candidate for the US Senate, Troy Jackson.

"Did you know I'm a Mainer? I'm originally from Maine! Yay!" Ms. Rachel wrote in a post to Instagram on Tuesday. "I met with Troy Jackson today, and we had a great talk. He truly cares about the people of Maine."

"He also truly cares about children everywhere," she continued. "He doesn't want our tax money funding bombing kids. He doesn't want our tax money traumatizing kids in ICE detention."

"He wants Maine families to be able to afford childcare, he wants Medicare for all and paid family leave when babies are born."

Ms. Rachel has never been just a children's entertainer and educator, she has for years been an undying champion of causes around the world that better the lives of some of the most disadvantaged kids out there.

For years, she has repeatedly called out Israel for its indiscriminate bombing of civilians in Gaza, which has killed thousands of children and babies. Jerusalem's bloody campaign has been found to be genocide by the United Nations.

When attacked for her advocacy on the issue, Ms. Rachel last year declared: "I think it should be controversial not to say anything."

"It's sad that people try to make it controversial when you speak out for children that are facing immeasurable suffering. Silence wasn't a choice for me," she said.

She has also been ruthless in her advocacy for children and families caught up in President Donald Trump's violent mass-roundups of migrants and imprisonment in unsafe detention camps.

Jackson, who replaced Graham Platner to campaign for the US Senate against GOP incumbent Susan Collins, has called out the administration's deadly immigration policy and is running on a positive, progressive ticket.
