Angela Yee's cryptic post on The Breakfast Club sends fans into a tailspin
The star's puzzling tweet may have meant something entirely different, but it sent listeners into a tailspin.
On Wednesday, Yee confirmed that she is leaving the syndicated radio program after 10 years to launch her own show.
But on Tuesday evening, the 46-year-old media personality caused some confusion when she teased that the Breakfast Club was "officially over."
"The breakfast club as you know it is officially over," Yee wrote in the perplexing post.
Yee clarified on Wednesday's show that The Breakfast Club will go without her, helmed by her cohosts DJ Envy and Charlamagne tha God.
"This is really exciting," she told her cohosts. "This is something that I've been waiting to do for years now, way before the pandemic.
"I had actually sat down with our big boss, and I was telling her, like, 'Look, I really wanna have my own show. You know, I have my podcast Lip Service and I was thinking I would be able to get something like a weekend situation.'"
Yee added that she was approached by iHeart Radio and was told "that they are gonna give me my very own show."
Yee also shared that she will stay on The Breakfast Club until the end of the month.
