The princess of pop is slowly but surely acclimating to her newfound freedom following a 13-year conservatorship.

On Thursday, Brit took to Instagram to share some sultry snaps with a simple and sweet caption that read, "Free woman energy has never felt better."

Though this isn't the first time Britney has shared revealing photos to her feed, there was one major and highly noticeable difference in her latest post.

In a rare move for the Piece of Me songstress, the comments appear to be turned off.

Just because fans weren't able to sound off with their praise – or concern – in the comment section as they so often do, didn't mean they were going quietly into the night.

Instead, many took to the Twitter-verse to share their adoration for Brit's bold move on Insta.

One fan account said, "My Britney. Doing what she wants now!", while another added some words of concern, saying, "I’m happy Britney Spears has been freed but I think she still needs a little bit of supervision, especially on social media."

Twitter user @MwenReleNaomi came to the 40-year-old's defense, writing, "Britney is reclaiming her freedom and has control of how she wants to be seen [or] consumed in the (social) media for the first time. Hollywood has hyper-sexualized her since her debut. She truly isn't bothering anyone."

Still, not everyone is convinced that Britney is the one running her account, and turning the comments off hasn't convinced them otherwise. One social media user tweeted, "Like Britney herself turned off the comments. Report the accounts and go."

No matter the reason for the comments being turned off, it's great to see Britney seemingly living her best and most carefree life.
