Nick Cannon expecting his eighth child
Los Angeles, California – It's all love and baby bliss for Nick Cannon and his model girlfriend Bre Tiesi.
It's official: Cannon (41) and Tiesi (30) have a baby boy on the way.
The TV host confirmed the pregnancy news on the Nick Cannon talk show on Monday, all while acknowledging this isn't his first rodeo.
"As everybody [knows], I got a lot of children, and I love them all dearly, sincerely," Cannon said of his seven kids, all of which were mothered by different women.
The Wild 'N Out star went on to say he knew about Tiesi's pregnancy when his five-month-old son, Zen – who he shared with Alyssa Scott – tragically passed away in December 2021.
The timing created a tricky situation to navigate and a wide range of emotions to feel – from joy to grief and everything in between.
"This was always in the back of my mind, like, 'What is the right time? How do I share this?"' Cannon said on Monday.
"I wanted to definitely respect the grieving process with Alyssa, and Bre was respectful enough – she held off making our announcements and speaking on social media."
Cannon added that while he and Tiesi weren't planning on discussing the pregnancy publicly, "We here, I'm with my family, I get to discuss it, I get to be open. That's the beauty of having platforms like this."
He continued, "At the end of the day, when a life comes into this world, it's a celebration."
