From the stunning red carpet looks to the phenomenal performances - the AMAs did not come to play this year.

Celebs galore flocked to the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday night to celebrate the biggest names in music, while Cardi B brought her A-game for her hosting debut.

The rapper kept the audience and viewers thoroughly entertained with her jokes, lavish outfits, and a personal request for dancer and reality star JoJo Siwa to come to her house for the holidays.

While many male artists won big, the AMAs was definitely a huge moment for the ladies.

In addition to the Bodak Yellow rapper making history as only the second female rapper ever to host the show, Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion took home multiple awards.

Doja won Collaboration of the Year, Favorite R&B Album, and Favorite Female R&B Artist.

Megan took home the awards for Favorite Female Hip-Hop Artist, and Favorite Hip-Hop Album.

However, some viewers felt that Doja shouldn't have won the R&B Female Artist honor over her competitors H.E.R., Jazmine Sullivan, Jhené Aiko, and SZA.

Nevertheless, they weren't the only women to win big at the ceremony.

Olivia Rodrigo won New Artist of the Year while Taylor Swift secured the honor of Favorite Female Pop Artist for the seventh time. Swift topped her previous record for most AMA wins of all time, and now has 34 trophies in her pocket.

In honor of her return to rom coms, Jennifer Lopez graced the AMAs stage in a chic wedding dress. The singer performed her new track On My Way, which is from her upcoming movie Marry Me.

J. Lo's corset cream-gown had a satin sash and sleeves and a full ankle-length tulle skirt. She completed her bridal look with a white flower fascinator that had a short bedazzled veil and nude high-heeled lace-up boots.

Of course, fans couldn't help but wonder if the ensemble was also a subtle hint to her beau, Ben Affleck.

The two haven't been shy about their rekindled romance, but could the performance be a hint that they are ready to walk down the aisle?

Long before BTS, New Edition and New Kids on The Block dominated the charts and the hearts of fans everywhere.

The two groups' lasting legacy came full circle on Sunday night.

New Edition and NKOTB faced off in the AMAs' Battle of Boston – a bit that is part of the award show's new segment, My Hometown.

Of course, it was all in good fun and social media thoroughly enjoyed the historic moment.

In keeping with the boy band theme, super group BTS closed out the show with a performance of their hit song Butter and won awards in every category for which they were nominated, including the night's biggest title: Artist of the Year.

This year's AMA's will be a tough one to top, and was definitely one for the books!
