TLC's MILF Manor brings a bizarre twist to the world of reality TV dating

New York, New York - TLC's latest reality TV dating show MILF Manor is everything it sounds like, but so much worse in the best way possible.

There's a new dating show on television, and it's got one heck of a twist to it.

TLC's new reality show called MILF Manor is exactly what it sounds like: a group of "MILFs," AKA "mothers I'd like to f**k," looking for love at a bougie beachside resort in Mexico.

However, the series premiere packed quite the awkward twist: these cougars are each joined by one of their single sons who are, you guessed it, there to date some MILFs.

As strange as the show's concept sounds in theory – and we won't deny that it's absolutely absurd – for some reason, the very first episode proved that it just may actually work in terms of reality TV dating.

Are we saying that the show boasts a depth that's been missing in the world of reality TV – something that shows like Netflix's Love is Blind tried to remedy with it's finding love "sight unseen" discourse? Not at all.

But we are saying that MILF Manor gives a different perspective on the social experiment that is dating on a reality TV show.

After all, when will you see a group of "MILFs" roaming a luxurious resort and flirting with younger men while their equally young sons witness it all in cringe fashion?

Twitter users react to MILF Manor

The conversations on Twitter regarding the show all seem to echo the same opinion: whether you hate or love the concept of it is irrelevant, because the entertainment factor is out of this world.

There's something about hate-watching young men cringe over their middle-aged mothers getting flirty with the adult sons of other MILFs that just equates to reality television gold.

While it is a bit strange that the show is airing on TLC AKA "The Learning Channel," who are we to judge?

Catch new episodes of MILF Manor on Sundays at 10 PM EST on TLC.
