Netflix's The Umbrella Academy breaks fans' hearts with Season 4 announcement
Los Gatos, California - Call a family meeting, as the hit show The Umbrella Academy has been renewed for its fourth and final season.
Netflix's comedic series will be ending after its fourth season.
The Umbrella Academy follows the dysfunctional Hargreeves siblings, who reunite to save the world after their father's death.
On Thursday, Variety confirmed the news with a statement from the show's series creator Steve Blackman.
"I'm so excited that the incredibly loyal fans of 'The Umbrella Academy' will be able to experience the fitting end to the Hargreeves siblings' journey we began five years ago," the executive producer began.
"But before we get to that conclusion, we’ve got an amazing story ahead for season four, one that will have fans on the edge of their seats until the final minutes."
The Umbrella Academy's official Instagram shared a post also confirming the news
"Family meeting, Brellies: We're going on a fourth and final adventure," the caption read with an umbrella emoji.
Umbrella Academy writes Elliot Page's transition into plot
The superhero series recently wrapped its third season where a major change was made in the storyline.
Elliot Pages' character came out as a transgender man, adopting the moniker Victor.
The character was previously known as Vanya and his transition on the series was well-received among fans.
This is just one of the many aspects that made the original series a hit, so it really isn't much of a surprise that the fanbase are devastated by its impending end.
But don't fret, The Umbrella Academy still has one more exciting chapter in store!
