United Kingdom - Millions of viewers are fascinated by the new Netflix hit series Bridgerton – not least because of the many steamy scenes between Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page). It comes as no surprise that many fans hope the sparks continue flying off-screen too!

In an interview with You Magazine, the leading actor broke her silence and talked about her relationship with her colleague.

"There was definitely a spark in the room when Regé and I first read together," Dynevor (25) confessed. "Bringing scenes to life is an exciting feeling anyway, but it felt like we were sparking off each other."

Unfortunately, her statement only applied to the casting. As soon as filming began, things were quite different: "I'd love to say there was really something between us. But no, it has always been strictly professional."

Even though the drama is full of steamy sex scenes, the behind-the-scenes look was less titillating.

The pressure on the two actors to get everything right was so enormous that it was all about the work: "We have a really professional working relationship. I'm glad for that, actually. It would be very complicated if it went further."

But that's not the only thing that seems to have prevented Dynevor and her colleague Regé-Jean Page (31) from getting closer in private.

Recently, snapshots of the actor with a young woman surfaced. It seems he is in a relationship with writer and soccer player Emily Brown.
