The 19 Kids and Counting spinoff, Counting On, has been canceled following TLC's decision to cut ties with the Duggar clan.

On Tuesday, TLC made an official statement to US Weekly, revealing, "TLC will not be producing additional seasons of Counting On. TLC feels it is important to give the Duggar family the opportunity to address their situation privately."

Following the shocking news that Josh Duggar was accused of sexually abusing five girls between 2002 and 2003, the network pulled the plug on the 19 Kids and Counting in July 2015.

The spin-off series, which focused on Josh's siblings and his own family, aired shortly after the controversy.

However, on April 29th, Josh was arrested by US Marshals on federal charges of receiving and possessing child pornography.

The reality star pled not guilty to the charges against him, but his trial date was extended and will now be held on November 30.

If the eldest child of the religious family is convicted, he could face up to 30 years in jail.

The unfortunate turn of events has been a devastating blow to the once-popular family.

The long-running reality show and family, particularly parents Jim Bob and Michelle, faced major backlash following Josh's scandal and eventual arrest.

However, members of the Baptist brood have spoken out following TLC's announcement and are seemingly in favor of the network's decision.

On Wednesday, Jinger Duggar-Vuolo shared on her Instagram, "We are grateful for TLC giving us the opportunity to be on the network over the years and their kindness towards the Vuolo family. It's been a remarkable journey that has opened doors to traveling and experiencing the world in a way that we wouldn't have imagined possible."

Her husband Jeremy shared the same statement on his page.

With the Duggar family seemingly making peace with TLC's decision, time will tell what the future may hold for the reality stars.
