Los Gatos, California - Netflix's global hit series Squid Games will return for a second season!

The wildly creative show that gained a massive following will be back for more games.

On Tuesday, during an interview with the Associated Press, Squid Games' creator Hwang Dong-hyuk confirmed that a second season is in the works.

"So there’s been so much pressure, so much demand and so much love for a second season," the writer began.

He continued, "So I almost feel like you leave us no choice! But I will say, there will indeed be a second season. It’s in my head right now. I’m in the planning process currently. But I do think it’s too early to say when and how it’s going to happen. So I will promise you this… Gi-hun will come back, he’ll do something for the world."

The survivor-thriller is the most-streamed show on Netflix to date following it September debut.

Thanks to word-to-mouth, viewers couldn't help but give into the newest obsession, which combines captivating characters with a searing critique of capitalism.

The show's popularity even led to fans playing their own versions of the deadly games.
