St. Paul, Minnesota - Staunch MAGA Republican Mike Lindell is refusing to concede after losing his gubernatorial primary bid by double digits.
On Tuesday, state House Speaker Lisa Demuth was declared the winner of Minnesota's Republican primary, crushing Lindell by 11 points.
But Lindell, who boasted an enthusiastic endorsement from President Donald Trump, claims irregularities in the vote totals have skewed the results.
When asked at an election watch party broadcast on his own network, LindellTV, whether he would concede if the Associated Press called the race for his opponent, he argued the outlet is not legitimate.
"I'm not going to give up this race until the votes are counted. That's nonsense," Lindell said.
He later revealed that he needed to review the results before accepting them, claiming he was told there appeared to be "a couple of anomalies."
As of Wednesday afternoon, Lindell still hasn't conceded.
Lindell is well-known as one of Trump's most outspoken supporters, and something of a caricature within the MAGA movement.
Most notably, Lindell has aggressively pushed Trump's conspiracy theory that the 2020 election was stolen and has lost several major lawsuits over the unfounded claims.
Lindell now joins several Trump-endorsed politicians who have lost recent primary races, including controversial Tennessee Congressman Andy Ogles and House candidate Amir Hassan of Michigan, who managed to lose to an opponent who had dropped out.
Demuth, who is now the first woman to win the Minnesota Republican gubernatorial nomination, will go on to face Democrat Amy Klobuchar in November.
