The star posted a bombshell Instagram video on Tuesday which addressed The New York Times Presents: Framing Britney Spears for the first time.

The devastating documentary was released on February 5 and has had fans and celebrities rallying around the pop star in support of the #FreeBritney movement since.

The film addressed Britney's 12-year conservatorship under her father Jamie Spears, her public scrutiny, and the unraveling of her career and mental health.

"I didn't watch the documentary but from what I did see of it I was embarrassed by the light they put me in," Spears said in the caption of her new video.

"I cried for two weeks and well....I still cry sometimes."

She also responded to her treatment by paparazzi, which the documentary highlights.

"I've always been so judged...insulted...and embarrassed by the media...and I still am till this day," Britney said.

Britney's words were accompanied by two videos of her dancing to Aerosmith's Crazy and were just the latest in a string of Instagram posts that have led fans to wonder if she is sending out a cry for help.

"My life has always been very speculated...watched...and judged really my whole life!!! For my sanity I need to dance," she said.

Fans have opposing reactions to the star's post

Many fans offered support to Britney on Instagram and reassured her that the documentary did not portray her negatively.

"There is nothing to be embarrassed about. If anything it made me admire you more because of all you overcame," one fan said.

"We saw someone suffering in the public eye and we are hurt for you," wrote another.

Yet, many still did not believe the posts came from the star herself and claimed that she still does not have personal freedom.

"Britney did not write this. She doesn't control her own social media," one comment read.

Regardless, Britney's latest post has given a much anticipated response to the film and a small window into her world in the spotlight:

"I have been exposed my whole life...As the world keeps on turning and life goes on we still remain so fragile and sensitive as people!"
