Los Angeles, California - The TV documentary House of Kardashian has given a closer look at the mystery surrounding Kim Kardashian's infamous sex tape.

"For everyone who thinks that the Kardashians don't impact them, they have," Director Katie Hindley for the three-part miniseries told Variety.

The new doc aired on Sunday and focuses on the 42-year-old SKIMS founder's 2007 scandalous tape which launched Kim and her family into fame.

Though the beauty mogul and her family declined to be part of the series, others spoke on the family's behalf – including Kris Jenner's ex-spouse Caitlyn Jenner.

According to the former Olympian, Kim's sex tape leak was a "calculated" move on her and Kris's part.

The docuseries' director plans to uncover if the aspiring lawyer did leak the controversial tape.

"I think we get pretty close to figuring out the truth behind the sex tape," Hindley explained.

"I would say we've got as close as possible without Kim and Kris signing off on what they think happened."
