Calabasas, California - The Kardashian clan are known fangirls of Netflix's Bridgerton – but now actor Nicola Coughlan says the reality TV sisters were some major inspo for the show and they stan Kim right back!

Over the weekend, Kim shared screenshots of her group text about Bridgerton and said she has binged the steamy TV show with her girlfriends. Khloé commented the next day that her sister Kourtney and boyfriend Travis' hot new romance had "Bridgerton vibes."

Now, the show's three British sisters say they were actually huge fans of the Kardashian trio and definitely took a page out of their book!

"The Kardashians were a massive inspiration for the Featheringtons and we talked about them all the time during our fittings," tweeted Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan, who plays main sis Penelope Featherington.

"WHAT?!?! I am freaking out!!!!!!" Kim responded on Twitter on Tuesday.

Then, known to be one for asking for what she wants, Kim begged: "Can I please come to a fitting?!?! It would make my whole life!!!!!!"

Of course, the Bridgerton cast member said Kim would be welcome on set anytime. It appeared Nicola was fangirling just as hard – she commented that she had admired Kim for over a decade and included a Kim meme.

"I can't even deal," she wrote.

Nicola went on to explain that she had often chatted with her on-screen sisters during filming about which Kardashian their characters were most similar to. Main sister Penelope was more like Kim – ever the businesswoman and right in the middle of the drama – whereas "besties" Khloé and Kourtney resembled her two comedic sisters.

The TV sister squads even both have the matching first initial trend in common – the Featherington trio with "P" names and the Kardashians all having, of course, "K."

Nicola continued the back-and-forth by bringing to light an even deeper connection between Kim and the show.

The same fashion designer who made Kim a corset for the 2019 Met Gala went on to next create a corset for Nicola to wear on the show.

"You’ve been part of the Bridgerton world for longer than you know!" she said.

"OMG I’m gonna faint!!!!!!" Kim replied. "I am the corset Queen!!!"

Fans of the show loved the connection and Kim being dubbed "Duchess Kardashian of Calabasas" by the actor.

"You are soul sisters," one Twitter user commented.

"This is the Twitter meet-cute I didn’t know I needed!" said a fan. Another wrote: "It’s the girls drinks we ALL want an invite to."

Some even said that Kim was already in talks with Netflix to appear on the show.

Perhaps "Duchess Kim" will don a Bridgeton-esque corset again – next time on set!
