While fans of the superhero franchise continue to question the ambitious director's motives, he's at least given some good news.

On Monday, the 56-year-old DC exec replied back to a fan's scathing comment under recent post on Instagram.

The user voiced their disapproval of Gunn's decision to "boot" Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot, which "doesn't inspire" their "confidence" in the future of the DC Extended Universe.

"Cannot wait to see what you're cooking up... That being said the move to boot Cavill and Gadot (especially after they'd announced their return) doesn't inspire confidence," the fan wrote.

The Peacemaker director then stepped into the comments to clarify that the Wonder Woman star is safe and sound.

"I'm not sure where you're getting that we 'booted' Gal," he aptly replied back.

James Gunn continues to receive backlash for DCEU shake up!

Earlier this month, multiple outlets confirmed the cancellation of Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman 3 after the script to the planned sequel was already completed.

Fans were already aware something was amiss since Gadot tweeted a cryptic message on Twitter regarding her character's fictional journey continuing.

"A few years ago it was announced that I was going to play Wonder Woman. I've been so grateful for the opportunity to play such an incredible, iconic character and more than anything I’m grateful for YOU. The fans. Can't wait to share her next chapter with you," the tweet read.

Gunn's recent IG post followed the emergence of the hashtag #FireJamesGunn, which became a number one trending Twitter topic following the cancellation of WW, and the decision to remove Cavill as Superman.

For now, everyone can breathe a sigh of relief that all leads indicate this isn't the last we've seen of Gadot's Wonder Woman.
