No, this isn't a reboot or remake, thank God.

Instead, the movie serves a direct follow-up to the 80's classics, Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II.

The film follows the daughter and grandchildren of original ghostbuster Dr. Egon Spengler, who was played by the late Harold Ramis. His descendants have inherited his home and all the ghoulish gadgets he left behind.

Though the late star won't be in the upcoming flick, his former costars, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver, are all reprising their original roles as they help the newest generation combat the ghosts once and for all.

Will the movie live up to the hype and its predecessors?

Ghostbusters: Afterlife hits theaters on November 19.
