While fans still have one more episode left in the Disney+ series Hawkeye, the multiverse will clearly be an ongoing issue in the MCU.

Previous shows and flicks like Loki and Shang-Chi have dabbled with its existence, but it was teased that NWH was going to the be the movie that dives a little deeper into the chaotic multiverse.

And boy, did it do that and so much more.

With the year coming to a close and Phase 4 really just beginning, there's no better time to take a look at how NWH sets the tone for the MCU's future.

Before the debut of NWH, it was teased that other characters will appear in the MCU.

For instance, Charlie Cox's Daredevil, who had his own Netflix series that was canceled in 2018, was hinted to be getting a reboot in the MCU.

Fans were delighted to see the Daredevil making a brief cameo in NWH.

Also, Daredevil and Spider-Man's common nemesis, Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, played by Vincent D'onofrio, made a surprise appearance in the latest episode on Hawkeye.

And let's not forget NWH vital end-credit scene when Tom Hardy's Venom unknowingly dropped some of his symbiotic fluid in the MCU's reality.

All of this, plus Spider-Man's unintentional tampering with the multiverse, has shown that things are about to get very crazy in the MCU.

In NWH, the friendly neighborhood hero ran into the alternate versions of himself and their respective enemies from their realities.

This was addressed in the season finale of Loki when the character, He Who Remains, explained that messing with the alternate dimension would cause a lot of issues.

Even Dr. Strange was aware of how delicate the various timelines are, but his willingness to help Spider-Man will also cause issues for him in the future.

The character's next film, Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, is rumored to further delve into the multiverse and may lead to the wizard facing off against his own evil counterpart, Strange Supreme – who made his animated debut in the series What If...?

Yet, it's clear that this won't be the last fans see of Daredevil, Kingpin, and Venom in the MCU.

And now it's been shown how bizarre the multiverse is, there's no telling what else the Marvel heroes will have to face.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is now playing exclusively in theaters.
