The upcoming Netflix series, titled Harry & Meghan, is an intimate look at the private lives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The emotional teaser begins with an interviewer asking, "Why did you want to make this documentary?"

A series of personal photos of the couple are then displayed, including shots of Meghan crying.

"No one sees what's happening behind closed doors," Harry says. "I had to do everything I could to protect my family."

The tense trailer culminates with Meghan asking the interviewer, "When the stakes are this high, doesn't it make more sense to hear our story from us?"

Directed by Liz Garbus, Harry & Meghan will be six episodes long, with Netflix describing it as "an unprecedented and in-depth documentary series." The series is also set to feature "commentary from friends and family" who have not yet publicly revealed their perspectives on the couple resigning from their royal duties.

The Duke of Sussex is also set to open up about his experiences within the royal family in a tell-all memoir titled Spare, which will hit shelves on January 10, 2023.

Fans can now set a reminder on their Netflix account to receive an alert when the limited series arrives.
