At 16, Carol Praddo got her first piercing, and she was instantly hooked. Five years later, she got her first tattoo. From that point on, the notion of having blank skin was out of the question.

Most recently, the self-proclaimed "demon woman" had her eyeballs tattooed, changing them from yellow to red in order to better fit her "demon" aesthetic. Sometimes, she even adds red horns to her forehead to complete the look.

Contrary to what many believe, Praddo told the Daily Star that her most painful experience wasn't getting her eyes tattooed – "I tattooed them twice, it was painless." – but having her tongue split in half!

Carol Praddo's most painful body modification isn't what makes her the "Demon Woman" of Brazil

Through the sea of tattoos, Praddo can see and identify her favorite ones. Interestingly, the most painful body modification he has had - the splitting of her tongue - didn't rank very highly in her list.

"My favorite tattoos are on my face, they symbolize my marriage with Mandalas," she said, referring to objects that have spiritual symbolism in the Hindu and Buddhist religions.

Many respond badly to Carol Praddo's "Demon Woman" look

The 35-year-old gets mixed reactions in public for the numerous tattoos and piercings on her body. Some people even refuse to talk to her because of her appearance.

Others have blatantly told her that she's not "hot" anymore because of her looks, but she doesn't let the negativity bring her down, especially with a supportive family. Praddo said, "My friend and family respect my look, that's most important."

When it comes to body modifications, Praddo described it as love at first sight. Eventually, she turned her obsession into a career, working as a piercing and body modification specialist in São Paulo, Brazil.

Though Praddo isn't sure what she'll do next, the sky's the limit for this body mod enthusiast.
