Baltimore, Maryland - The Baltimore Orioles seem to be well past their recent losing streak, having now defeated the Los Angeles Angels two games in a row.

The Orioles dominated the final game of their three-game set against the Angels 13-1, making it two consecutive wins to continue the team’s bounce-back from an embarrassing 19-game losing streak.

Pedro Severino (28) had a monster game for Baltimore that perhaps left Angels’ superstar pitcher Shohei Ohtani mesmerized. The Orioles catcher went 2-for-5, driving home six of Baltimore’s 13 runs, with four of them coming off of a fifth-inning grand slam.

Ohtani, the MLB leader in home runs, blasted a solo shot to open up the game, but it was the only run LA could manage for the rest of the day.

On the other hand, nine Orioles came together for a barrage of offense, scoring a total of fifteen hits off of five Angels pitchers.

A single by third baseman Kelvin Gutierrez caused Jahmai Jones to tie up the game at 1-1 in the third inning before Severino’s slam blew things open for Baltimore.

Two more runs came courtesy of Severino and rookie first baseman Ryan Mountcastle in the eighth.

Keegan Akin (1-8) pitched seven innings for Baltimore, with six being strikeouts to sail to his first win of the season. The Angels' Elvis Peguero (0-1) was charged with his first loss of the season after allowing five of the six runs Baltimore scored in the fifth.

On Friday, the Orioles are looking to make it a third straight win when they open a three-game series at home against the Rays, while the Angels head back west for two games in San Diego against the Padres.
