In front of a crowd of a few thousand, the Red Sox put up double-digit runs, including six in the first inning, to cruise to an easy 11-4 win over the Chicago White Sox. The victory helped Boston even up their four-game series against Chicago.

Kiké Hernández (29) got things started for Boston with a first-inning homer, opening the door for the rest of the batting order to manufacture hit after hit. The Red Sox scored five more runs in the opening inning and added another four over the next three innings, making things look more like a runaway.

The score was already 10-2 by the fifth inning, and even though the home team scored only one more run in the seventh, it was more than enough by then since Chicago couldn't cash in more with nine total hits in the game.

It was definitely a hit party for Boston, as eight of the nine batters in the order had at least one hit in the game. Alex Verdugo helped in the victory by going 3 for 4, with a home run. And J.D. Martinez also went yard for a solo shot of his own, going 3 for 5.

Tim Anderson did have a decent game for the White Sox, going 3 for 4 and scoring two runs. And Adam Eaton had a couple of hits, batting in three of Chicago's four runs.

On Tuesday, the Red Sox stay at home to welcome the Blue Jays into town, while Chicago travels to Cleveland to take on their division rivals, the Indians.
