The Toronto Maple Leafs rode a five-game winning streak into Saturday night's game against the Ottawa Senators, escaping with a 6-5 win.

Auston Matthews (23) increased his NHL lead in goals with a hat-trick and an assist for good measure. Mitch Marner nabbed himself a goal and assisted on three scores for Toronto.

And history was made as Leafs goalie Jack Campbell set an NHL record for consecutive wins to begin a season, with 11 victories and counting.

With this win, the Maple Leafs are still well in control of the lead in the all-Canadian North Division.
