CES 2022 Highlights: The most bizarre new gadgets so far

Las Vegas, Nevada - Who cares about new TVs and better PC parts? Give us the gloriously goofy gadgets, pronto! Here are the top five wackiest things unveiled so far at this year's CES conference.

CES 2022 has the newest ideas and products in the tech industry, but sometimes it isn't always obvious what they're good for, or how someone actually greenlit them.

John Deere, a name synonymous with farming, is proving the point and making agriculture work even more hands-off with its new, completely autonomous 8R tractor.

All the 8R tractor needs to drive around in any conditions, day and night, are solid GPS coordinates and a decent map.

The new invention works the fields all on its own, but for a slightly more hands-on approach, farmers can also use a smartphone app to drive it remotely.

The high-tech tractor rolls onto fields later this year.

Keeping the punches rolling, LG's all-in-one home on wheels, the OmniPod, gives you everything you need for the next pandemic.

It's a car, it's a house, it's an office, and it could be the high-tech alternative to camping – or the very isolated alternative to working in an office.

Adding to the "Omni" mix, TP-Link, which is well-known for its Wi-Fi repeaters and routers, has finally made routers cool by turning one into a little mechanized device.

The company's newly announced Archer AXE200 Omni is a router with automatically rotating antennas, which makes it look more like a robot. Yet, its little antennas can supposedly turn in order for the router to give you the best Wi-Fi signal possible, even if you're moving around.

Health gadgets

Full-on future tech is here, with the new Body Scan device from health tech company Withings.

If you're already using some sort of health tracker, this is probably the next logical step.

The square platform looks like a scale, but has a built-in handle that can scan your body to help you keep track of way more than just your weight. This gadget measures your pulse, and the health of your nerves, arteries, and veins.

It also can collect loads of info on how your body is doing, and even suggest health tips or let you send your data to a doctor.

And just in case you want a break from the abundance of screen time the Covid-19 pandemic offered you, a French meditation pebble from another wellness-focused tech company has you covered.

This is no simple rocky pebble, though. Morphee announced its Morphee Zen, which is a screenless, ergonomically shaped handheld device that you can plug headphones into to enjoy a wide range of short meditation routines.

CES 2022 already has more than enough funky new tech to wade through for the start of the year, as these five gadgets are bonkers enough to prove!
