Cat who mirrors Garfield transforms into a sweet "alarm clock"

Canada - Reznor the cat looks like a real-life version of Garfield, but that's not all: he also seems to be related to the cheeky house cat in terms of his nature.

Reznor was supposed to wake up his owner's daughter earlier this week. Instead, Erin Grant captured a video that has received 15.9 million views on TikTok.

In the clip, Grant asks the cat to go to her child's door to wake him up. Somewhat ponderously, Reznor then creeps through the hallway to a door. carefully scratches at it, then turns to his owner.

Grant points his finger in the direction of the correct door right next to the feline's velvet paw. But Reznor seems to have had enough, and instead of scratching the door, he scratches himself on the head. Mission failed.

The kitty "alarm clock", which wasn't one, amused TikTok users. 4.4 million of them gave it a like, while other users commented with their wish to have a similar "alarm," pointing out it'd help them sleep in!

But would there even have been a theoretical chance that Reznor would carry out his "order"?

Reznor's owner admits he should never really act as an "alarm clock"

According to Hill's Pet Nutrition, there are definitely some ways an owner can train their kitty: "If it's doing something they want to encourage, they should always make a big fuss about it. Rewards for good behavior can be motivating and given in the form of praise or a treat."

However, Reznor was never really meant to wake up Erin Grant's daughter, and the cat's owner admitted this when asked by Newsweek, noting that the whole thing was meant to be a joke from the start.

Nevertheless, it was important for Grant to show that her cat was quite capable of understanding some instructions.

However, Reznor will probably not be an alarm clock in this life.
